Welcome to the June 2018 Newsletter for Shropshire Squash Club

Summer Leagues

This starts on Friday 22nd June from 6pm. There are still a few places left to play in one of the teams playing in the SL (Div 2) - . If are playing around League 8 or below then this is for you! Please let Guy Rutter know if you are interested or just want to ask a few questions

Club Kit order has arrived

Please note that all Club clothing orders have arrived. If you could please call into the club on Sunday between 7pm and 9pm to collect your ordered items. The next bulk order will be made early August so please leave your completed order form in the box on the noticeboard downstairs before the 31st July.

British Open Masters

Make Over
The ground floor and first floor social areas have now been decorated. they now compliment the revamped bar area. New furniture on order so watch this space for more info.

Leagues - June 2018
17 leagues this month, many with 6 players.

New Members Evening
If you joined the club after March 2017 you should have received an invite to our new members evening on Friday 15th June. We meet at 7:00pm with courts available from 7:30pm. Members of the committee will be present and the club pro-coach will put you through your paces. To register interest - or for more info - please contact Graham (07841125253/ g-moore@talktalk.net)

Club Vs Club Matches and Events:

Vs Malvern on Sunday 3rd June - 12pm Kick Off - report soon !

Vs Bishops Castle - AWAY - Wed 13th June - Come along and support - please let Guy Rutter know if you are coming so you can be booked into the 3 Tuns for food and a beer afterwards!

Vs Llanwrst - Saturday 16th June - 12pm Kick Off - come along and support!

Vs Army (RLC) - Wednesday July 4th - 7.30pm Kick Off - come along and support!
Monday June 11th - From 7pm

Andrew Birks - our former Club Professional - is coming to say hello and will be playing newly crowned County Open Champion Steve Jenks at 7pm - followed by 'have a Hit with anyone that is in Kit’! Come along - watch a great ‘exhibition match’ / support - and play a round robin. Light refreshments available on the night
