Shropshire Squash Club - Annual General Meeting Sunday 12th November from 6pm

Further to messages from Max, please find details below inviting you to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday 12th November, starting promptly at 6pm at the Squash Club. It would be great to have this supported by as many active members is possible, so please do make every effort to be there.

This is an important opportunity for you to have your say on items that affect your club and put forward up any points for discussion that you wish to be considered.

The Agenda will be as follows:

Sports Facilities Q&A
Chairmans report
Annual accounts and treasurers report
Club Captains report
Ladies Captain report
Junior squash report
Welfare and Safeguarding report

Election of committee members
AOB

We are requesting any items for discussion and nominations for any roles on the committee be submitted to me by Sunday 5th November. Additionally all reports will be made available to members on or by this date.

We will have the following vacancies on the committee;

Chairman – I am planning to step down, and more detail will be provided in my report.
Club Secretary – this role is currently vacant and being filled by various members of the committee on an ad hoc basis.
Welfare and Safeguarding Officer – Ian Tanner is stepping down from this role.
Marketing/Website Support – this role is currently vacant and being filled by various members of the committee on an ad hoc basis.
Membership Secretary – this is a new role that we would like to implement to focus on declining membership numbers. More detail to follow in my report.

In the interest of clarity, other roles on the committee currently are; Club Captain, Treasurer, Bar, Ladies Captain, Junior Squash Secretary.

To ask a question to either a member of the committee or to the sports facilities manager, to nominate yourself or another member for any of the above positions on the committee or offer your support to serve in some other way on the committee, please email me: mattjtking@gmail.com by Sunday 5th November.
