Re Shropshire League Finals and SSC Club Championships 2023

Please note that on Wednesday 29th March, we will once again be hosting the Shropshire League finals night.

The matches will include the Shropshire Academy (featuring Cameron Parry, Jaydan Ingram, Finley Aimer, Billy Schur and Georgie Lincoln) against Shrewsbury Squash Club B

There will also be an all SSC final in the Div 2 match as Nigel Jackson's B team take on Steve Nankivell's C team.

If you are available on this evening, please pop down and show some support. It will be ace to see you there.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENT

Next month our Club Championships is coming back and as a twist, we aren't even really promoting it this year

If you play in our internal leagues, you are already in the competition. You don't have to do anything, just see who you are tasked to play.

The official dates for the event are 1st April until Friday 12th May which is the club’s finals night.

The events will be:

A) Open Event (Tiers A-E)
B) Ladies Event
C) Veterans (Over 55s) Event

To maximise the entries, we have decided to pause the internal leagues in April and enter everyone who is playing in the current leagues automatically into the competition.

All players will be in a 5 player league similar to their normal internal league. Each tier will consist of 4 x 5 player leagues. The top 20 ranked players will be in tier A, the next 20 in tier B etc.

The winners and runners up from each league will then progress to the quarter final of their tier taking place between the 2nd and 5th May. The winners of the quarter finals will play a semi final match on the 9th or 10th May before our Finals night which will take place on Friday 12th May.

As this is a substitution for the internal league, we encourage you to play the matches even if you know you cannot play in the finals. The event organisers will place the next best finisher through if needed.
