Club News for April 2019

Hello all club members. Here are the bits you need to know this month.

Teams Final, Club & County Championships

It is the end of the season and on Friday we had the Shopshire Teams Cup Finals and presentation evening at the club. It was well attended, and the club got second place in the Division 2 Cup and have a strong chance to finish top of Division 3 leagues. The next season is not too far away and a team captains review meeting will be held on Saturday 13th April after the Club Championship final. Let a captain know your feedback on how the season went and suggestions to make it better next season.

The latest club championship draws are out with time slots nominated to you’re your matches. Contact Max or Ben if you need to change these around or have arranged another slot with your opponent. Come down and cheer your colleagues on the finals day. Last final round matches from 7 with some food and a presentation after.

The Shropshire County Championships first round matches need to be played by the 17th April and you can get the latest draws and where our teams finished in the leagues on Sporty HQ. Here are some links to make it easy.

BOTH EVENTS FREE to members and guests

In March we had not one but two ladies nights well attended with 20+ ladies and a mixed social night. As always, lots of ladies, absolute beginners and club members attended. It was great to see some wives, mums and dads join in to these events.

Thanks to the coaches and volunteers who help make these nights a great success. They go to any lengths to get it right and even had men in skorts for the ladies session

Curry Night End of Season

A final reminder that the 'End Of Season Curry’ will be at The Masala on Saturday 27th April - sitting down at 8.30pm. This is a ‘Meal Deal Special’ at only £12pp!
We have a really good turn out (with 28 confirmed bookings so far!) and partners are very much invited. Due to demand I have secured a few more seats so come along and ENJOY!
