SSC Summer Quiz - Friday 14th July

After the success of December's quiz night, Shropshire Squash Club is hosting another fun night on Friday 14th July! Gather up your friends and family for the event and sign up using the link below

We're having teams of 4-6, price for the event £7.50 per person pre-booked and pre-paid; £10 on the door. Price includes a ticket for one (1) alcoholic or soft drink at the club bar and nibbles.

Bringing children under 18 years of age? Price for children under 18 years of age is £5.00 per child, £7.50 on the night, price includes one (1) soft drink at the bar and nibbles.

There will be a small prize for the winning team and a prize raffle to raise funds for future club social events. Please indicate on the RSVP Sign Up if you are interested and able to donate a prize, and if you are able to it is very much appreciated. We'd like to get more club social events on the calendar!

June Internal League Games

These are currently running and will be going till Mid-July. There will then be another league from Mid-July until the end of August. Please make a big push to get all your games in. If you need to pull out, please reach out to Tony Burgan.

Ladies Summer League & Pizza and Prosecco

The Ladies Summer League is taking place at a number of clubs around the county. This is handicapped squash with refreshments and social afterwards taking place on Thursday nights. All abilities are welcome. If you would like to get involved please contact Damian Jay on 07753 450414.

Ladies Pizza and prosecco is taking place at Shrewsbury Squash Club on the first Friday of the month and third Friday of the month at Shropshire Squash Club. Again, please reach out if you would like to get involved.

Changes to the Committee

Earlier this month we made a few changes to our committee. Harrison Crombie due to work committments has agreed to step down from his role overseeing the bar.

Ian Tanner is taking a step back from committee responsibilities, but will continue to be the safeguarding officer for both Shropshire Squash Club and the county association.

Lastly, We are pleased to welcome Rich Green to our committee help oversee the bar going forward. Rich has been an important part of our third division squash community, playing a lot of the matches and co captaining our E team in the second half of the 22/23 season. He is looking forward to working with the committee to ensure the bar continues to generate key funds for the squash club. Please join us in wishing Rich all the best on the committee filling a super key role.

We are holding a Christmas event for the squash club on Friday 15th December. More details to come soon.

The Social Squash knock in aid of Severn Hospice will be held on Thursday 28th December. Again more details to follow soon.
