Shropshire Squash Club AGM, End of Seasons Awards and Refereeing Course

Please note that this Sunday from 5.30pm is the Shropshire Squash Club AGM and End of Summer awards presentation. We will be discussing key issues for the club; presenting the awards from our Club Championships and also giving out a number of bespoke awards.

We would love for you to join us - As a thank you - there will be a free drink from behind the bar and light refreshments available.

On Sunday 2nd October from 5.30pm Richard Allison has kind agreed to hold a refereeing course which is available for all club members to attend. This is really helpful if you are new to team squash, or maybe you are unsure of what constitutes as a let or a stroke. Rich's workshop will be extremely helpful especially as we begin the winter league season the week after.

On Saturday 15th October from 12pm - Shropshire Squash Club, Shrewsbury Squash Club and Castle Country Club are co-hosting mixed ability doubles events for squash and racketball as part of World Squash Day. Entry can be done until Friday 7th October where you can register as individuals and we will select a suitable partner depending on the entries.

Lastly, if you are a keen golfer the “Alan Boswell Trophy” Golf Challenge Day will be taking place a week on Friday (30th September) at Arscott Golf Club. First T Off time is 1200. The day will include a coffee before we start, a round of golf “Individual Stableford” followed by curry and chips. The winner will be presented with the “Alan Boswell Trophy” in memory of absent friends and great passed characters of Shropshire Squash Club. There will also be prizes for two “Nearest the Pins” Remember this is a fun day out to try your hand at a different sport. All members and past members are welcome. Cost per individual is £27-50.
