New Squash Pro

We now have a new squash Professional at the club - Miles Jenkins, WR165. Ali has left to coach in Australia but we are keeping the Pro coaching going on a Tuesday and Friday night.

If you want a session, the sheets are up on the board at the club and you can contact Miles directly on 07809 155120

Miles charges £20 and individual session and is helping run the juniors and county squads. We hope to offer some group training in the near future.

Nick Matthew Event

The” Wolf” (Nick Matthew) event at the club was a great success for the club and school. Massive thanks go to all involved to make this happen and we hope that those who attended had a great experience. We had great attendance levels from regional junior and senior squash enthusiasts.

The event was covered by local media and also published by the schools. Some links to the photos, stories and videos are on the web and social media

AGM News

The club AGM was held at the end of September and we have an updated committee. The new club representatives are:

Andrew Black - Treasurer

Andy Lawrence – Marketing and Branding

Ben Schur – Junior Representative

Dan Aimer – Club Captain

Max Ball – Bar

Scott Bass – Communication and Digital

We would like to thank out going committee members Shirley Barr, Guy Rutter and Graham Moore for their contributions over the last number of years. The club is definitely in a better place and their involvement at a committee level will be greatly missed.

The key actions from the AGM were to address the continued schools maintenance program (ladies change room, lights safety,, ...), review guest and student fees, review club night and continued support for MetaFit on a Monday night.

Our biggest challenge as a new committee is the absence of dedicated chair role and will be running with temporary arrangements until this can be resolved.

Annual Golf Day

Thanks to all who attended for an enjoyable day of social golf at Arscott Golf Club. Congratulations go to the winner Tony Burgan who came in with an amazing score of 39 Stableford points to lift the Alan Boswell Trophy and to Keith Stillitoe who posted a respectable 31 points to take second prize. Not forgetting the Nearest the Pin winners who were again an ‘on form’ Tony Burgan and Graham Moore. Well done all.
