RE: New Court Upgrades and Important Diary Dates

Following the discussion at the AGM and the Members desire to improve the court lighting the School (in partnership with the Club) have scheduled an significant upgrade in the court lighting on courts 2, 3 and 4 to the same standard of LED lighting as in court 1. This is a pleasing response to the discussion at the AGM and represents more investment in the quality of playing conditions on the court at the club

In addition to this there is investment in the upgrade of the Ladies changing rooms, also planned for first quarter of 2019.

The lighting work is planned for the week commencing 21st January 2019. This will mean severely restricted court availability in that week (during the days and the evenings) and with team matched scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday that week, members will need to get their league games in early in January to ensure that the leagues are completed by the end of the January. The availability for members to book court times will be as follows:

Should work proceed ahead of schedule then more court time will be released, but only on a daily basis in that week.
Although this does inconvenience members during this week, we hope that the benefits of the investment are significant and we would ask for your patience while there will be the obvious disruption of workmen and their equipment at the club during that week.

As mentioned in December's Newsletter, we would like members to be aware of the Christmas and New Year court building closure times this year. In essence the court building will be closed from 5.15pm on Monday 24th December to 8.15am on Thursday 27th December; and, the building will also be closed from 5.15pm on Monday 31st December, opening again at 8.15am on Wednesday 2nd January.
