Shropshire Squash Club - Annual General Meeting Sunday 12th November from 6pm

Dear Member

Just a friendly reminder that a week tomorrow is our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday 12th November, starting promptly at 6pm at the Squash Club. We hope to have this supported by as many of our current active members as possible, so if you are free please do make every effort to be there.

This is an important opportunity for you to have your say on items that affect your club and put forward up any points for discussion that you wish to be considered.

The Agenda will consist of reports from members of the committee and also the sports facilities manager who will be attending.

We will have the following vacancies on the committee:

Chairman - Matt King has announced that he will be stepping down from his role

Treasurer - Mike Kirby has announced that he will be stepping down from his role

Club Secretary – this role is currently vacant and being filled by various members of the committee on an ad hoc basis.

Welfare and Safeguarding Officer – Ian Tanner is stepping down from this role.

Marketing/Website Support – this role is currently vacant and being filled by various members of the committee on an ad hoc basis.

Membership Secretary – this is a new role that we would like to implement to focus on membership growth.

Other roles on the committee currently are; Club Captain, Bar, Ladies Captain, Junior Squash Secretary and Events Secretary

Shropshire League

After a two week break from the league matches for the Shropshire Team Cup and half term, matches are back from next week.

On Monday, our Racketball 1 team will be playing from 7pm against the Rugby Club

On Tuesday, our C team led by Steve Nankivell will be playing from 7.30pm against Brookside B

On Wednesday, our A and B teams led by Phil Caudle and Ian Pitchford will be playing one another from 7.30pm

And on Thursday, our E team led by Becky Wright will be playing against our D team led by Matt King from 7.30pm.

If you want to see some good squash (or Racketball), please pop down and support the teams on those days.
