Club Leagues

Adult Summer Leagues

The finals night of the first division summer leagues approaches the end of this month. Come on down to watch Friday the 31st! Results will be published next newsletter.

The division 2 leagues are now finished. This was geared at lower division players and runs on a Friday night. To get us started we had four teams playing for bragging nights and avoiding first round shouts at the bar. Thanks to all who attended and congratulations to Finley Aimer and Dan Gibbons part of the FDTigers . When we return we are looking for more clubs and teams to be involved. Please contact Guy Rutter or Dan Aimer to register a team.

The Army was ‘ere

Shropshire Squash Club (SSC) hosted a touring Royal Logistics Corp side on Wednesday 4th July. In a 10 a side match SSC managed a 7-3 victory with two local players, Cameron Parry and Max Ball, taking ‘Man of the Match’ honors following their narrow 3-2 wins for the Club side.

Following that the Club Ladies took on a travelling combined services Military Ladies side on the 10th August. It was a really close set of games with the club coming out on top 4-2. Congratulations to our lady of the match Georgie Lincoln who at just 15 won her 2 matches with great all round play. The full report can be found on the link below:

The next team event will be on the 5th September against Bishops Castle in a 20 v 20 match up. Come along and get involved...! We have already got a full squad of people but are looking for supporters to come along, enjoy some food and grab a coffee or a beer!! The last meeting ended up in a draw - This time it will be different!

Referee Course 12th September

METAFIT

There will be no Metafit in August during the summer holidays.

'Squash Fit - Metafit' will start again on Monday 3rd Sept at 7.45pm. This will be your chance to get fit for the winter season!

Shropshire Squash Club AGM - Sunday 30th September

6:30pm at the club. This is your club and this is your chance to have your say!

Footwear on the Court!!!

We have been asked to give a polite reminder that members should not wear/ arrive in their court shoes. Court 3 was severely marked a few weeks ago. Although this wasn't a club member it has been brought to the committee’s attention that some members are arriving in their court shoes. We are righty proud of our court playing surfaces so please ensure you adhere to this simple rule.

Membership Renewals

Outstanding membership payments with the schools sporting facility are now overdue. If you have not already done so, you can renew this online through MyCourts. Please do this promptly as funding for maintenance and other benefits provided by the schools counts on paid memberships.
