Merry Christmas & An Emotional Farewell
Dear Member
On behalf of all the Shropshire Committee I would just like to wish you and your families a happy Christmas and New Year.
Last week we held our Festive quiz at the squash club where we had 7 teams battle it out through a number of rounds by our quiz masters Ian Tanner and Becky Wright. There was a number of challenging rounds from general knowledge about Shropshire to name the celebrity. Thank you to the pair, Tracy Waldron Pegge and Mark Collins for organising the event.
I would also like to thank Savvas Hiou, Vanessa Dee and Steve Nankivell who supplied a number of prizes for our charity raffle. We raised £430 for the Cavalier Centre based in Much Wenlock, in memory of Neil Jackson.

Our next event is taking place on Wednesday 28th December from 1pm till 7pm. This will be our annual social knock when members past and present, friends of the club are all invited to join us. Burn off some of your Christmas food and help us raise money for Severn Hospice. Charlie Hart will be joining us to collect charity donations that can be a real difference. Please give any money that you can.
As many of you may also know, next month I will begin my new job in Zurich so the event on Wednesday will also be my final appearance at the squash club. There will be some light refreshments through the afternoon followed by a few drinks and ordered in takeaway.
Thank you for all of your support in my three years as Chairman – This is a fantastic club, a caring and thoughtfully community that I am fond of. I will miss you all
