Hi everyone
As explained at the AGM on occasional months money has gone out of the till and it cannot be explained. Last month it appears the same has occurred. Andrew Black and Andy Lawrence are looking into the cashless card systems that will most benefit the club and was agreed at the AGM. This will take time and possibly months not weeks.
As an interim arrangement the committee are removing the till which will be locked if required for specific events, unlocked. For all other purchases Members are requested to make payments by either:
1. Placing cash directly into the safe. Please keep to notes. If you do not know where the safe is please ask a committee member.
2. By recording purchases in the book (If you do not know where the book is please ask a committee member) and at a convenient time making an electronic payment via a card. To pay direct into the Club bank account fuse the following details:
Sort Code: 20-77-85
Account: 73026108
Please also mark the payment "Bar" in the payee reference in order to be able to distinguish it from other club transactions.
It is not clear who is responsible for the money going missing and whether they are members but the committee are clear that it is theft and all possible efforts will be made to minimise the opportunity for any reoccurrence. The committee will be considering other actions going forward.
The above requests and payment methods will all be operational from the 1st of December
